The Brain Center routinely conducts various neurosurgical procedures for conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumors, brain function disorders, hydrocephalus, and skull repairs. Notably, the center specializes in stroke treatment. For hemorrhagic strokes, it performs minimally invasive frameless stereotactic puncture drainage surgeries for intracerebral hemorrhage and brainstem hemorrhage. Additionally, it conducts minimally invasive embolization for ruptured cerebral aneurysms causing acute subarachnoid hemorrhage, along with puncture drainage procedures for lumbar cisterns, ventricles, and hematomas.

For ischemic strokes, in addition to the existing conservative treatment for acute cerebral infarction and conventional intravenous thrombolysis, the center has introduced bridging therapy that combines intravenous and intra-arterial thrombolysis and thrombectomy for acute cerebral infarction. The success rate for vascular recanalization in thrombectomy procedures exceeds 90%. Furthermore, Director Zhang Bo has integrated radial artery angiography as the preferred approach for cerebrovascular imaging, building on his expertise in femoral artery neurointervention. The center is a pioneer in the region for performing radial artery cerebral angiography, radial artery embolization for intracranial aneurysms, radial artery stent placement for vertebral arteries, and procedures for acute and chronic occlusions, all achieving leading standards in the city.
