Dr. Zhang holds a Master's degree in Medicine from Qindao University Medical College. With over 20 years of experience in neurosurgery and 15 years in interventional neurology, he has a wealth of clinical expertise in neuroscience and interventional medicine. He is proficient in managing common brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve disorders, as well as rare and complex cases. Dr. Zhang is skilled in performing various routine surgeries, including those for traumatic brain injuries, intracerebral hemorrhage, hydrocephalus shunts, and cranial reconstruction.

He specializes in microsurgical procedures for brain tumors and cerebrovascular diseases, and has been a pioneer in the province for transradial access techniques, including cerebral angiography, intracranial aneurysm embolization, vertebral artery stenting, and acute/chronic occlusion recanalization. He also focuses on interventional procedures for peripheral vascular diseases, such as balloon angioplasty and stenting for subclavian artery stenosis, venous thrombosis recanalization, and treatment for acute pulmonary embolism.

In addition to his interventional skills, Dr. Zhang is experienced in liver tumor embolization, percutaneous liver puncture for biliary drainage and stenting, and esophageal stricture balloon dilation and stenting. He has participated in clinical training for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and international students and has rich teaching experience. Between 2014 and 2015, he underwent a one-year advanced training program at the Interventional Neurosurgery Center of Beijing Xuanwu Hospital and has completed further studies at various prestigious hospitals, including Beijing Armed Police General Hospital, Sanbo Brain Hospital, and Peking University Third Hospital. He has published one monograph and over ten academic papers.
