Cardiac Rehabilitation Center

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Qingdao University Affiliated Rizhao Hospital/Rizhao Cardiac Hospital is the first cardiac rehabilitation center in Rizhao City, integrating cardiac rehabilitation treatment, scientific research, education, and public awareness. The center adheres to the principles of "proactive, positive, open, enthusiastic, tolerant, self-disciplined, humble, and cautious." It leverages the advantages of multidisciplinary and multi-team collaboration, as well as a comprehensive management approach. Based on standardized specialized treatment, the center emphasizes the role of exercise-based comprehensive therapies in managing diseases, purposefully guiding patients in pre-hospital cardiovascular risk factor intervention, early rehabilitation of critical cardiovascular conditions, and home rehabilitation. This approach aims to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events, promote patient recovery, enhance quality of life, and facilitate reintegration into normal social life.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center currently operates under an outpatient system with a ward management structure. It has approximately 300 square meters of functional areas, including a cardiopulmonary exercise laboratory, aerobic training area, resistance training area, group exercise area, psychological assessment room, nutritional assessment room, and demonstration room. The cardiology department has long-term cardiac rehabilitation beds established. The center is equipped with a complete set of medical devices for assessment, training, monitoring, and emergency care, and has established an "Assessment - Treatment - Follow-up - Education" system, leveraging the absolute advantages of cardiopulmonary exercise testing technology in exercise prescription. It actively promotes safe, effective, scientific, and standardized cardiac rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment techniques.

The hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation Center is composed of a professional cardiac rehabilitation team led by doctors, covering fields such as cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation therapy, psychological counseling, and pharmacy. Since its establishment, the team has conducted rigorous medical assessments and provided scientific exercise rehabilitation guidance for various cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, post-stent placement after acute myocardial infarction, post-coronary artery bypass grafting, post-heart transplantation, chronic heart failure, post-ICD implantation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and obesity. The center has completed standardized cardiac rehabilitation exploration and received unanimous recognition and praise from peers during the national certification process for cardiac rehabilitation centers.
