Laboratory Department

The Laboratory Department of Rizhao International Heart Hospital is one of the key medical and technical departments, responsible for a wide range of tasks, including specimen testing for outpatient, emergency, inpatient services, and health examinations. The department conducts tests in clinical laboratory science, clinical body fluid analysis, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, clinical immunology, and clinical molecular biology.

The department currently has 12 staff members, including one senior-level, three mid-level, one master's degree holder, and 11 bachelor's degree holders. The core team members possess excellent professional skills and extensive experience in medical laboratory testing.

The department covers an area of 520 square meters and is located on the second floor of the medical technology building. It includes sections for clinical laboratory testing, clinical body fluid analysis, clinical chemistry, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, an HIV preliminary screening laboratory, and a clinical gene amplification (PCR) laboratory.

The department is equipped with advanced instruments such as the Antu fully automated microbial mass spectrometry system, Beckman fully automated biochemical analyzer, Mike fully automated hematology and specific protein analysis line, Antu fully automated chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, Japanese SYSMEX fully automated blood analysis line, Aiwei fully automated urine analysis line, Japanese Sekisui Coapresta 3000 fully automated coagulation analyzer, Meihua fully automated bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility analyzer, fully automated blood culture analyzer, Japanese OLYMPUS phase contrast microscope, MQ-2000PT glycated hemoglobin analyzer, and gene amplification analyzer.

The Laboratory Department adheres to CNAS-CL02:2012 "Quality and Competence Requirements for Medical Laboratories" (ISO 15189:2012, IDT) and its related field applications, the "Administrative Measures for Clinical Laboratories of Medical Institutions," CNAS-CL01: "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories" (ISO/IEC 17025:2005), and medical laboratory safety requirements (15190:2003, IDT). The department has established a quality manual, procedural documents, standard operating procedures, and various forms based on these standards.

The department regularly participates in external quality assessment activities conducted by the National Health Commission and Shandong Clinical Testing Center. In these assessments, it consistently achieves excellent results, ensuring the accuracy and comparability of test results. By adhering to quality policies and objectives, the department ensures that test results are accurate, reliable, quick, and timely, while implementing scientific management and providing high-quality services to meet clinical needs, aiming to build a world-class hospital laboratory.
