She performed Rizhao’s first CRT-D (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy with Defibrillator) implantation, first LOT-CRTD (Left Bundle Branch Pacing Combined with Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy and Defibrillator Implantation) in Shandong Province, the first one-stop procedure involving Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM) combined with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), conducted the percutaneous renal denervation (RDN) procedure for hypertension in Rizhao and articipated in the city's first transcatheter mitral valve clipping procedure.

Dr. Tang has been professionally engaged in cardiovascular medicine for over 20 years. Academician Ge Junbo has long been committed to advancing clinical technology innovation and transforming scientific research achievements in the field of cardiovascular diseases in China. He has pioneered several "first-in-China" and "first-in-Shanghai" heart disease diagnosis and treatment procedures. His breakthrough discovery in "myocardial bridging" shocked the medical community. In 2010, he was the first in China to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), and in 2012, he pioneered the MitraClip procedure in China, successfully using "retrograde wire technology" to treat chronic coronary artery occlusion. Professor Ge Junbo has made significant breakthroughs in the fields of intravascular ultrasound research, the development of new coronary stents, and the prevention and treatment of in-stent restenosis, contributing significantly to enhancing China’s international academic standing in cardiovascular medicine.

Equipment Introduction

The SOMATOM Force CT breaks through traditional CT examination contraindications and can routinely achieve the diagnostic effectiveness of a single DR chest X-ray examination dose. It significantly reduces the required contrast agent volume, which can be as low as that used in a group injection test (<20ml), benefiting more patients. This technology enables patients with renal insufficiency or even renal failure, who traditionally faced contraindications for standard examinations, to receive routine enhanced CT diagnostics. The SOMATOM Force has achieved, for the first time in human history, a CT scanning technology that protects the kidneys.

The Force can reduce radiation doses to 1/10 to 1/20 of those from standard scans. Research from the University of Zurich in Switzerland confirms that using Force, the radiation dose for a routine lung CT scan can be as low as 0.06 mSv, which is less than the radiation dose from a single chest X-ray; meanwhile, the sensitivity for diagnosing small lung nodules can reach up to 94%! The radiation dose for cardiac scans using Force is extremely low, with research from the University of Sydney in Australia confirming an average of 0.09 mSv, equivalent to the dose from a chest X-ray. It is anticipated that in the future, cardiovascular screenings will be entirely performed using Force, potentially transforming clinical workflows.

Dual-energy imaging technology has become one of the most important standards for evaluating ultra-high-end CT. Siemens' dual-source dual-energy imaging leads other dual-energy technologies and is widely applied across various parts of the body. The Force CT further breaks through all imaging limits, addressing contraindications of other imaging modalities and achieving precise fusion imaging.
