Recently, during the award ceremony for the Shandong Province Heart Rehabilitation Center Alliance, Rizhao Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University /Rizhao International Heart Hospital was officially recognized as one of the first batch of member units.
Heart rehabilitation represents a shift from a traditional disease-centered medical model to a patient-centered bio-psychosocial medical model. This approach effectively addresses the shortcomings in the prevention, intervention, and management phases of cardiovascular disease treatment, significantly improving patient outcomes and becoming an irreplaceable therapeutic measure.
From the early days of its establishment, our hospital has set up a Heart Rehabilitation Center, making it the first in Rizhao to be certified as a "Heart Rehabilitation Center" and recognized as a "Demonstration Unit for Heart Rehabilitation." It is also the first lifestyle medicine center in the city.
This certification will further promote the development of heart rehabilitation services at our hospital, enabling comprehensive, standardized, and systematic management of patients throughout their journey. We aim to establish a distinctive heart disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation model that enhances patient quality of life, reduces hospitalization rates, and decreases mortality rates. This will provide a complete cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment plan covering prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, truly benefiting the health of the broader community.
