On December 2, 2022, the Pan-Vascular Disease Management Center announced the list of "First Batch Construction Units for Pan-Vascular Disease Management Centers." As the only medical institution selected, Rizhao Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University /Rizhao International Heart Hospital has elevated the city's level of pan-vascular disease prevention and treatment.

Pan-vascular diseases are a group of systemic vascular disorders characterized by atherosclerosis, primarily affecting vital organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys, and limbs. This management emphasizes patient-centered systemic assessment and comprehensive management, followed by personalized treatment.

To achieve this goal, Academician Ge Junbo, President of the Chinese Cardiovascular Health Alliance and Director of the Cardiology Department at Fudan University Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital, proposed the establishment of a Pan-Vascular Disease Management Center. This initiative aims for multidisciplinary collaboration, incorporating patients and high-risk groups into a unified screening pathway, and providing a standardized comprehensive management platform for one-stop diagnosis and treatment, facilitating early detection, intervention, and improved quality of life.

The management of pan-vascular diseases stresses individualized treatment in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular specialties based on thorough assessments. Our hospital has also launched a "one-stop" diagnosis and treatment service on the second floor of the outpatient department, integrating specialized clinics in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, peripheral vascular, endocrinology, and orthopedics. This multidisciplinary approach establishes a model for early screening, diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive management for patients with risk factors.
