Dr. Tang Zhongren is the Associate Director of the Department of Cardiology, Doctor of Medicine, Chief Physician, and Master's Supervisor at Rizhao Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University/Rizhao International Heart Hospital. He is a core member of Academician Ge Junbo's team and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common cardiovascular diseases, frequently occurring conditions, and the rescue of critical cases. He has extensive experience in emergency interventional treatment for acute myocardial infarction, as well as in interventional procedures for complex coronary artery diseases, such as left main coronary artery disease, bifurcation lesions, and chronic total occlusions (CTO). He has assisted many hospitals in launching coronary intervention procedures and has independently performed more than 2,000 coronary interventional surgeries, including over 600 for acute coronary syndrome.

He was mentored by renowned cardiovascular expert Yu Bo, Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Hospital at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, and has been professionally engaged in cardiovascular medicine for over 20 years. In 2009, he furthered his expertise in coronary intervention at the catheterization lab of Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital in Beijing.

In 2016, Dr. Tang was awarded the Ninth Municipal May Fourth Youth Medal, and in 2019, he was honored with the title of Municipal Model Worker. He has held positions as Director of Cardiology at a prominent tertiary hospital, member of the Provincial Cardiovascular Medicine Committee, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Atrial Fibrillation Center Alliance, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Cardiovascular Medicine Committee, Vice Chairman of the Cardiovascular Interventional Committee, and Chairman of the Cardiovascular Evidence-Based Medicine Committee. He has received nine Provincial Medical New Technology Application Awards, seven Municipal Medical New Technology Awards, and has led two municipal and one provincial scientific research projects. As corresponding author, he has published one SCI paper and more than ten papers in national medical journals.
