Dr. Zhang serves as the Chief of Urology at Rizhao Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University / Rizhao International Heart Hospital. He holds a doctoral degree in medicine and completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies at the Second Military Medical University (Shanghai). He previously served as Director of Urology at the General Hospital of the Jinan Military Region.

He has held multiple academic and professional positions, including: Member, Organ Transplantation Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Chairman, Urology Committee of Jinan Military Region; Vice Chairman, Shandong Urological Association; Vice Chairman, Organ Transplantation Branch, Shandong Medical Doctor Association; Committee Member, PLA Urology and Organ Transplantation.

Dr. Zhang specializes in minimally invasive endourological procedures, including TURP, ureteroscopy, and laparoscopic surgery. He was among the first in Shandong Province to perform da Vinci robotic surgery. He has performed over 3,000 kidney transplant surgeries, with more than 1,000 cases completed independently, and is a national leader in radical prostatectomy. In 2014, he was a visiting scholar at the Mayo Clinic (USA). He has received the Second Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and published more than 30 academic papers.
